FEF-200

The FEF-200 ( Film Edge Force) is a portable device that you can mount on any pallet before wrapping. During and after the wrapping process, you measure the forces generated by the film on the corners of the pallet.

Stretch film is a transparent material, yet we often do not know how much force this material exerts on secondary packaging.

Do you also suffer from any of the following problems?

  • Cardboard boxes, tetra bricks... are deformed by the tertiary packaging.
  • Manual measurement of the "holding force" is often difficult and inaccurate and therefore solves nothing.
  • Each wrapper delivers a different voltage to the pallet.

FEF-200: user-friendly software

A FEF-200 set contains a central unit and up to 10 measurement cells.

Each measuring cell measures the force at two different heights, independently in the X and Y directions. A complete measuring system can measure the forces generated at the corners of the pallet at 40 different locations.

The user-friendly software generates a force profile according to the height of the pallet.

The measurements can be processed and saved via the software. The measurement results can then be exported in various formats.

Applications FEF-200

  • comparing force profiles to control the settings of a winder.
  • comparing different films and settings
  • using the measurement data as input for strength calculations on primary and secondary packaging
  • quality control to avoid pressing of primary and/or secondary packaging
